Our Most Important Services in Detail

Cosmetic Dentistry

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are used to cover teeth, which are worn, chipped, or misaligned. The popular solution for many people, because they last from ten to fifteen years.

Lumineers: Painless porcelain veneers

Composite Bonding
Composite Bonding is a wonderful solution against small defects in the teeth, i.e. spots, chips, or gaps. The material (‘resin’) matches shade and texture of your teeth: it closes gaps between teeth or eliminates spots and discoloration. The procedure called ‘bonding’, because an adhesive agent is used to ‘bond’ the resin to the tooth structure.

Tooth-Colored Fillings, Inlays and Onlays
You can replace old gold and silver filling with natural looking materials: ie. fillings, inlays or onlays. The composites of today are strong, durable, and attractive. In 1999, the American Dental Association gave white fillings its seal of approval and now many insurance plans cover their use. Tooth colored fillings made of porcelain or reinforced composite resin are an attractive, esthetic alternative to conventional silver fillings.

Ceramic and Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain and ceramic crowns or caps have been around for most of the past century. They are made of ceramic glass, often strengthened with a translucent material such as zirconium. Crowns have always been a highly desirable cosmetic solution for front teeth even without the ability of modern bonding Crowns are extremely durable and highly resistant to stain or color change. They are an excellent choice for restoring severely fractured or decayed teeth, heavily worn teeth and for replacing old crowns.

Pediatric Dentistry

We believe that Pediatric Dentistry is more than fixing teeth. We are concerned about the overall well-being of children. Accident prevention and safety counseling are part of our profession and the responsibility of every health care provider involved in pediatric care.

Inappropriate feeding of children can lead to a typical nursing pattern decay. One term used for this type of caries is Baby Bottle Tooth Decay (BBTD), others are nursing bottle caries, nursing caries, bottle caries, infant caries, early childhood caries etc. Please click here for more information about Childhood Caries or BBTD.

What will your child's first dentist visit be?
Children are not born with “ dental anxiety ”. During your child's first visit we show them, and you, the office, the toys and the play area. If they have a favorite stuffed animal they would like to “show around”, they are welcome to.

During the actual exam
we gently “count' their teeth and teach them to allow us to look at and examine their teeth and gums. Everything is done calmly and slowly so they aren't startled or surprised. Please allow yourself plenty of time at our practice in order for your child to enjoy their visit in a calm, unhurried and happy atmosphere.

Dr. Sarrosa explains everything she is doing in words children can understand. We ask for your help ahead of time by speaking of your visit in positive and matter-of-fact terms. Remember, children aren't born with a fear of the dentist. If their visit is treated with frankness, calm and a positive attitude, they will be on their way to a lifetime of positive visits, good dental habits and happy, healthy smiles.

Restorative Dentistry

Dental Implants
Dental implants are a wonderful solution for missing teeth. They eliminate gaps and provide a permanent, natural alternative to dentures. Dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. After bone and gums grow around the implants, holding them firmly in place, artificial teeth are attached to the implant. Usually Dental Implants are hard to tell apart from natural teeth. Implants are like natural tooth roots, which help maintain bone height in the jaw.

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays
Porcelain inlays and onlays are designed to fill in cavities and areas of damage in the teeth. Inlays and onlays replace missing tooth structure to prevent further fracture.  While regular fillings are made of material that is directly fitted inside of the tooth, inlays and onlays are molded from porcelain and cemented in place.

Bridgework
Bridges work by closing spaces in your mouth and filling gaps with long-lasting artificial teeth. They are comfortable, esthetic, and they protect broken down teeth. They are also a permanently cemented alternative to partial dentures.

Partial Dentures
A partial denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces multiple missing teeth. It can be attached to the teeth with clasps or it can be attached to the teeth with crowns with precision attachments. Both types have a metal framework and plastic teeth and gum areas.  In some cases, a cosmetic option for a partial denture is available without the use of any metal.

Full Dentures
Full Dentures are for patients missing all teeth, or patients with worn or ill fitting full denture. They can also be used for added stability and increased chewing force in combination with dental implants and precision attachments.

Root Canal Therapy
Root canal treatment is usually needed for two reasons: infection or irreversible damage to the pulp. Once the pulp becomes infected, the infection can affect the bone around the tooth. The goal of root canal treatment is to save the tooth by removing the infected pulp, treating the infection, and filling the empty canals with an inert material.

In most cases, you will not experience any pain during the root canal procedure. Dr. Sarrosa numbs your tooth and the surrounding area. Don’t fear the anesthetic injections, because numbing gels and modern injection systems have made injections virtually painless.

Invisible Orthodontics / Invisalign

Dr. Sarrosa uses a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit you. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you'll be happy with. The convenience of the Invisalign system make most people feel very comfortable: most people won't notice they are in treatment. It does not disrupt your lifestyle. No metal wires or bands to irritate your mouth, and best of all, most people won't notice you're in treatment. Click here for more information.
